Fotonit® technology to minimize absences – Nanoksi & Halva

Not all jobs are possible to do remotely. An example of such is controlling production lines. At Halva’s factory, there was a desire to protect employees’ health and minimize absences. Therefore the facilities were widely treated with the antimicrobial Fotonit® coating.

“Influenza season reoccurs annually, and we want to bring absent leaves to a minimum because this work can not be done from home”, says Jean Karavokyros, CEO of Halva.

“We looked thoroughly into the service prior to placing the order. We also checked the backgrounds. Reliable research results and convincing personnel strengthened the decision making”, Karavokyros continues.

The biggest benefit is that the employees are able to come to work

In food industry, good hygiene is the key. Fotonit® coating ensures high hygiene levels in the facilities. Fotonit® is cost-effective and secure, and the safety of touch surfaces is not dependant on changing factors such as thoroughness or frequency of cleaning or challenges set by the facilities.

The effectiveness of the coating has been strictly controlled. The low count of viruses on surfaces in their own control measurings surprised the staff at Halva. Results are being followed up and they have been very good.

“All in all we have been very satisfied with the service.” – Jean Karavokyros

Nanoksi ensures and proves the effectiveness of Fotonit® photocatalytic coating with various surface hygiene measuring methods together with accredited laboratories and universities. In Finland the health care sector uses the ATP measuring method, which is the same that we at Nanoksi use to prove surface hygiene. ATP testing indicates the amount of organic dirt on the surface.
